A transformative transit concept merging adaptable design, community well-being, and nature connection for Toronto’s winter climate.
This project reimagines transit by introducing an innovative alternative transport paradigm that caters to long commutes and the need for outdoor respite. The design establishes a symbiotic relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces, incorporating adaptable seasonal elements to address Toronto’s winter climate.
Beyond its physical structure, the project explores socio-psychological dimensions, fostering community and well-being through intentional design. Skylights, a central oculus, and solariums connect occupants with the outdoors, encouraging mindfulness and connection with nature.
The ‘Public Activity Venue’ (PAV) concept merges architectural innovation, human well-being, and societal resurgence, presenting a transformative vision that redefines winter interactions with a focus on safety and well-being.
